Anyway, do you know what is Lacobel ? Lacobel is a brand of painted glass which is famous in Europe and Asia. Lacobel gives alternative to interior designers whom constantly looking for fresh idea for their design. Lacobel can be used for many applications such as : wall cladding, furniture, sliding door, etc. It brings depth, movement, and perspectives to your rooms and add vibrant patches of colour to interiors.

Lacobel is now available in Indonesia, 5 standard colours are available, namely Pure White, Soft White, Classic Black, Classic Red, & Luminous Green. Its color will be expanded soon and we’ll be updating it to you in the near future.

Painted Glass in Toilet Point of View

Hello!!

This time I would like to introduce the usage of painted glass from a different perspective. It’s the usage of painted glass in a “Toilet”, so, be prepared to view “toilets” with style.

Painted glass due to its superior ease of maintenance, is one of the wall material that having more popular to be used in the toilet, especially in Europe.

Toilet will look cleaner. Cleaning will be much easier, we can easily wipe off the dirts. The glass smooth surface will help in the cleaning, just use a wet cloth to clean it.

Toilets need to look clean, don’t trapped in that thought though. Other than clean, painted glass can provide calm and fresh ambience. Painted glass will dramatize the space make it more pleasant and refresh environment.

It can be kept bright by the reflection of the illumination space, unique glass with reflection effect.

Painted glass will add sense of luxury in the toilet, even compared to other luxury wall materials like granite, marble, etc. It is an excellent choice to up the user convenience in  a toilet.

In Japan, due to its limited space, many designers already started to incorporate glass into their design. The usage of painted glass and combination with mirror is one of the answer to make a wide space effect in a limited space of the toilet.

The reflection of the painted glass will brighten and give spacious feeling. you can arrange the depth of reflection with lighting play as well. Combination of both painted glass and mirror can strengthened the feeling.

One of the benefit  of painted glass is its maximum size, up to 3048x2134mm in standard size. With this large panel, you can have less joints for wall cladding. Its more versatile to your design.

The color in the painted glass will dramatize the toilet space, each color will provide a different ambience, apparently white & black is  the most common color, as the colors give clean, cool, calm, and refreshing ambience.

Other colors can also brighten the space, give the illuminating effects, and combination with mirror will help to widen the space.

However, the main feature of the painted glass is it ease of cleaning.

You do want a clean and quite toilet to do your business, right ?

Graffiti Wall

Recently, we have seen the used of painted glass as “graffiti wall”, means that painted glass is not only used as wall cladding /covering but also been used to write message, white board substitute, projector screen, etc.  

This trend started by companies for business purposes, ie : leave a message in the work station, white board for meeting, write an agenda, or even to inform about today’s  menu in the restaurant.

 

However, the idea has been used at residential premises as well, your house, my house, we can used it in the living room, kid’s room, kitchen, etc, your creativity is the limit.

It can be used as :

1.      a message board between families, to inform each other schedule and whereabout

2.      as a white board for parents to teach their children

3.      to attach pictures or certificates that you are proud of

4.      as a “graffiti wall” for your toddlers, etc.

You can write using whiteboard marker (recommended alcohol based) on the painted glass surface and easily cleaning it using wet cloth. This come with the usual advantages of using painted glass which are making room more spacious, brighten the room, luxurious feeling, nice finishing, etc. many colors are available now, you can combine it the way you like it.
